Eel River salmon and steelhead have been blocked from accessing 280 miles of prime spawning habitat in the headwaters of the Eel River for a century. We now have the opportunity to correct this imbalance in the ecosystem and remove the barriers at the PG&E-owned Potter Valley Project. Friends of the Eel River’s Executive Director will discuss the many reasons why dam removal on the Eel River is inevitable and the incredible potential it presents for salmonid recovery, as well as the process to secure this victory for our watershed. Tune in to learn about the iconic species of the Eel River, why there is reason to be hopeful about their future, and how you can be involved.
